Evergreen Systems Update (April 29th 2016)

Hello Libraries,

This weeks system update will be brief as well. The main takeaway is to be aware Evergreen will be down this Sunday, May 1st while we perform upgrades. Parts of the system may come back online during the process, but I will send an email to the list as soon as the major, necessary upgrades are done and Evergreen usage will be fully operational.

Quick Reports - Ideas for Reports Featured

Hello Libraries,

This is the page for information regarding our planned implemenation of the Quick Reports interface for Sage. Please refer back to this page for information and to let us know your thoughts on its current state.

  1. Main Groups and Types
  2. Report Templates
  3. Styling Options

The main purpose of this interface is to keep things as simple as possible, with limited training required and accesibilty being the main concern.

Hello Libraries,

This is a very brief update to inform you about some modest changes to the sagelib.org site

Systems Update - April 16, 2016

Hello Libraries!

Here is what has been happening with Sage/Evergreen lately:

Systems Update - March 23, 2016

  • Removal of patron survey link on catalog.sage.eou.edu

    • We have taken down the survey link and returned the main catalog page to its former self. We will be looking at aggregating the survey results soon.
  • Fix of 14 day (print) notice generation

    • There were some issues with partial generation of the 14 day (second notice) print notice generation for some libraries. These are now fixed.
  • Popular Monthy Holds Report (back)

    New ISBN 10/13 Keyword Index

Hello Catalogers (and other Sage staff),

I know it has occasionally been an issue where catalogers want to find out if a record exists within Sage and occasionally enter a duplicate one thinking that the searches were authoritative. I just wanted to highlight a few issues with indexing records and especially the way Evergreen search looks at the 020 $a and $z fields (ISBNs) right now.

    Systems Update - March 04, 2016

    Hello Libraries,

    Brief Systems Update - February 24, 2016

    Holds Part Display Partial Reversion

The holds part fix we implemented has the unintended side-effect of not allowing hold placement for items that only have one part on the record:

e.g. Game of Thrones, Season 1 and all copies have the part designation "Complete Set".

    Systems Update - Feb 12, 2016
