Upgrade to Evergreen 3.4

Upgrade Date - January 15, 2020

What to Expect

The Sage Evergreen system will be down on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 to upgrade our software from 3.1.11 to the latest version of 3.4. Although we hope to be back in operation as soon as possible, plan on being down for that day and let your patrons know. We will also be displaying a message in the OPAC starting January 1.

While the system is down you will be able to use Offline mode in the Evergreen web client. It is best if you do only checkouts and wait on checkins until the system is back up. There will be a tutorial sent out on how to use Offline.

How to Prepare

  • If you haven't already, log into the Sage Evergreen web client - https://catalog.sage.eou.edu/eg/staff/login  When logging in for the first time you will need to register your workstation. It is important to do this before the upgrade if you want to use Offline to record checkouts.
  • Take a look at 3.4 - We will be setting up our test server soon, but in the meantime there is a demo server located at https://demo.evergreencatalog.com/eg/staff/home  login- admin  password - demo123
  • Learn more about the Web client by watching the training videos on the Sage training web site and gotomeeting session recordings on the Sage YouTube channel
